From October 28 to 30, 2011, at the Askatasuna occupied social center in Torino, you may join the Feminist Blog Camp. We are going to spend three days together, sharing our knowledge, attending workshops, shows, debates, music and art performances, readings, culture and IT in-deep examinations, open discussions on desire and sexuality, temporary employment, migrants and a lot of other topics. This meeting is entirely self promoted and managed.

Askatasuna will provide to all participants free accommodation (just bring your sleeping bag) and meals (which will be prepared by the participants, thus, if you will, you may help in the kitchen!).

The Feminist Blog Camp is an event promoted by a group of Italian feminist media activists, both females and males, who are already part of an antisexist movement particularly – but not exclusively – active on the net.

The Feminist Blog Camp will be open to all of you, even if you don’t have a blog: the Feminist Blog Mailing List maintained an active discussion on the subject, which has been imagined and shaped in an open debate among the participants.

For this reason, the Camp will see the participation of many people, who have the merit of exposing in a clear way the authoritative and sexist culture which is trapping female bodies and their lives as well as the lives of men who are refusing to conform to given roles.

If you have a blog, a web site, an online page, you may sign to the mailing list and help us organizing this camp. Please note that at the moment discussions are held only in Italian, but translations in English of the main topics will be possible if needed!

If you are willing to help us, suggest topics, ask for information, or give us your travel information in order to help us organize your stay, please write to: feministblogcamp@grrlz.net
